The following are our website policies to ensure that your online visit to our website is secure, efficient and respects your privacy.
When we receive an order from you we will confirm our acceptance via email that we have received and will process the order.
Our software will not enable a purchase if product is out of stock, however, in the unlikely event that we are not able to supply the products, we will notify you as soon as possible after we become aware of this. In which case you may cancel the order (or any part of it) and you will receive a refund (including the applicable delivery charges) in respect of those products which will not be delivered.
Delivery / Shipping
Dreaming of Christmas aim to have all purchase dispatched and delivered within 3-5 working days within New Zealand main centres. Rural Deliveries can take an additional 3 days.
Delivery charges will be calculated at the checkout before you complete your purchase. Delivery charges are based on NZ Post Parcel service costs, for delivery within NZ. We will calculate the parcel size and select the lowest price delivery options taking into account the size and your delivery address.
You may be given two options for delivery; untracked service and a track and trace service. We would recommend the track and trace option to you.
The Untracked service is for standard sized parcels.
NZ Post will not deliver untracked parcels to a business that does not receive a post service.
Tracked and traced
The Tracked service is for larger or standard sized parcels. Tracking means you can track the progress of your parcel using the NZ Post track and track services.
At every stage of the delivery your time your parcel status will update, until it has been delivered.
NZ Post will deliver tracked parcels to a business that does not receive a post service.
*Please note: we cannot courier to a P.O. Box. So please provide a physical address for delivery.
We reserve the right to use other courier providers at our discretion and you will be advised at the time of dispatch.
Oversized parcels are priced based on dimensional weight and destination. Dreaming of Christmas is based in Auckland so Auckland delivers will use the across town service.
Larger parcels for Auckland and outside Auckland deliveries, North and South Island will always be delivered track and trace for your security.
In the unlikely event that an additional delivery fee is required for extra-large or heavy items, we will advise you prior to processing your order.
In this case you may cancel your order (or any part of it) prior to delivery and receive a refund (including the applicable delivery charges)
Deliveries are made by NZ Post Parcel Service throughout New Zealand. Please allow up to 5 working days.
Deliveries to Australia are also available in the checkout. This service is provided by NZ Post and Australian Post with a target delivery of 3 – 10 days.
Deliveries to other countries is available on request using contact us.

Dreaming of Christmas take all reasonable care to ensure that the details, descriptions and pricing of products are as accurate as possible,
We cannot be held responsible for any changes to the product outside our control. We are confident that you will be more than satisfied with your purchase.
The prices for the products listed on this site are in New Zealand dollars and include GST, but not any delivery charges.
Prices for goods and services on this website are displayed inclusive of goods and services tax (“GST”).
All transactions are billed in New Zealand dollars only.
Risk and Ownership
The risk of any loss of, or damage to, the products will pass to you on delivery, but legal and beneficial ownership will remain with Dreaming of Christmas until all sums owed to us are paid in full are paid in full.
Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim, damages, loss or expense related to the supply by us of goods or services is limited to the cost paid by you for those goods or services.
Except where statute expressly requires otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law we will not be liable in any event whether in tort (including negligence), contract or otherwise for any loss of profits or any consequential, indirect or special damage, loss or injury of any kind suffered by you or any other person.
Dreaming of Christmas will always meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
Dreaming of Christmas stand by the quality of our products.
Customer satisfaction is important to us we take every effort to insure you have a satisfactory shopping experience. However, we are unable to accept liability for products damaged in transit and we will not refund on a “change of mind basis.
If an item has been damaged in transit please contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement of the damaged items at no additional cost to you.
Once the product has been returned to Dreaming of Christmas and we deem the product to be damaged in transit. We will refund the return delivery costs.
How to Return a faulty or damaged Item.
We will accept the return of any item in that there is a defect. Claims for a return must be lodged to us within 7 days of receipt of the product.

Include in your package a letter stating the reason for the return and a copy of the invoice.
Dreaming of Christmas will happily meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act if any products that are unsatisfactory.
Please choose items carefully, as we do not accept product back due to a change of mind.
Upon receiving the product, we will refund the price you paid for the product. Dreaming of Christmas will not refund the original delivery costs relating to the return of the product as that is outside of our control.
At Dreaming of Christmas, we are committed to protecting our customers’ privacy and security. We do not and WILL NOT share your information outside our organisation or sell your information to third parties.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We recognise that when you choose to provide us with personal information about yourself, you trust us to act responsibly. We believe this information should only be used to help us provide you with a better service and will only be for our internal use.

You can be assured that Dreaming of Christmas respects your privacy and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any information given to us is secured.
No sale of personal information
Under no circumstances will Dreaming of Christmas sell or receive payment for licensing or disclosing your personal information. We will not disclose any personal information about you to other companies or individuals, with the exception of our delivery companies, retail system and web service provider.
Such companies and individuals will have access to specific personal information required to make deliveries or carry out specific tasks, but may not use your details for any other purposes.
Our web site uses a technology called ‘cookies’. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive to facilitate your shopping experience and permits our website to recognise you when you return. These cookies do not track your individual information. Credit card information is never stored in the cookie.
Policy Changes and Feedback
We take security seriously and have taken steps to ensure your personal information is secure. Customer information that we maintain is stored on secure servers with access limited to staff members who have a need to interact with the machines or the information stored on them. Remote access is encrypted to prevent third parties from intercepting and interpreting the data.
For online purchasing, we use SSL technology, which encrypts (scrambles) your information whenever we are receiving or transferring your details on our site.
There are visual clues on screen that tell you when you have entered a secure environment. In the bottom of your browser, the key or padlock icon, which is normally broken, becomes solid.
If at any stage, you do not see the padlock symbol or are unsure about your security, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We use eWAY, as our PCI compliant payment gateway. PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of requirements created by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council with the aim of improving online data security. eWAY is certified at Tier 1 of this standard, so when you shop with Dreaming of Christmas you can be assured we have iron-clad data protection.
We do not send unsolicited emails and we do not disclose your email address to third parties.
Only when you register your email address with us and you choose to subscribe to our VIP. List or newsletter, will you receive email announcements about products, offers and promotions from us.
Removing your name from our mailing list
In accordance with the Anti-spamming law, every promotional email message we send includes an email address to which you can respond to unsubscribe. If at any time, you decide you do not want to receive our emails, simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter. You can also let us know that you wish to be removed from our mailing list by contacting us.
If you unsubscribe you will still receive emails specifically related to any online orders you may make.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time by notifying users of the existence of revised terms and conditions through the website. By continuing to access the website, you agree to be bound by the amended terms and conditions.
